CURRICULUM STRUCTURE
XP3 is a downloadable curriculum that is set up in topical series. XP3 subscribers have the option of choosing which series they want to use and when they want to use it. Each series includes:

Teaching Script

The teaching script is a script provided for the communicator that is designed to set up the small group dialogs. We’ve included our stories in the scripts to illustrate the content, but feel free to replace our stories with your own stories to make the script more personal for the communicator.

Small Group Dialog

We believe that small groups are the place where students process truth in an environment where they have established relationships. The small group questions we provide are merely a suggestion, and not meant to be a checklist. We communicate within each small group dialog where we feel the conversation should land, and provide questions to help leaders dialog with students as a way of arriving at those truths. For many of our series, there are both high school and middle school specific questions provided.

Creating the Environment

The Creating the Environment page, found in each Session document, provides ideas for background playlists, worship sets, staging and any other special instructions that may be needed for the series.

The XP

The XP is an experiential way your students can live out what they are learning in each series. We believe the XP is key to developing a passion for others and our world, and helps a student move from an information-based faith to a relationship with Jesus Christ that is alive and vibrant.

The Home XP

The Home XP is a key component of the Orange Strategy because we believe that two combined influences can do more than they can each do on their own. We believe that those two primary influences are the church and the home. The Home XP helps a parent and student connect through dialog or shared experiences, and gives the student pastor a way to encourage parents as well. This piece allows student ministry to be a cheerleader for the parent/child relationship and encourage both to fight FOR relationship with each other. The text is provided in a Word document so the content can be e-mailed directly to parents or imported into a newsletter or web site.

Graphic Support

Promotional pieces; Motion loops; Power Point backgrounds
  • Promotional pieces: The promotional pieces include an ecard jpeg image, a pdf poster and web banners. The ecard can be used in an e-mail blast to your students each week to promote the series to let them know what the session will be about. The pdf poster can be printed to be displayed in prominent areas. The web banner artwork is intended to be used to update a ministry’s web site, MySpace or Facebook with the series art.

  • Motion Loop: The motion loop is intended to be used in your presentation software as the communicator begins to speak and direct students to your PPT/Keynote presentation.

  • Power Point/Keynote slides: Power Point/Keynote backgrounds are provided so that you can customize your slideshow for your presentation using the teaching outline provided in the teaching scripts.

Middle School Adaptation

The contents of this series can be used with middle school students by utilizing the following elements. We have provided illustrations and activities for each session to help you communicate the heart of each series to middle school students. Each teaching script also includes an outline to highlight the main points of each session so you can adapt the script as needed for middle schoolers. Many series also include middle school specific small group questions to better engage that age group.

* XP3 also creates videos to supplement each series. The videos are not included with each series, but are available for an additional purchase to help you communicate your message and create an environment. For more information, see the FAQ section.
